MALOLOS CITY—Suspected hired-killers gunned down in broad
daylight a woman who filed a case against the alleged leader of the Dominguez
Group, inside a passenger jeepney in front of the provincial capitol here
Thursday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Christina Bruan Rojas, 51, owner
of a gasoline station in Paombong, Bulacan.
Investigation conducted by P02 Danilo Torres of the Malolos City police
station said that Rojas had just attended a hearing at the Bulacan Regional Trial Court on the
carnapping case she filed against Raymond Dominguez, the alleged leader of the “Dominguez
Group”.
Rojas was reportedly on her way home and had just boarded a passenger
jeepney when a lone gunman sat in front of here and without warning pulled out
a handgun and shot her on the head at
point blank range. The killer then alighted and casually walked towards a
waiting motorcycle and fled.
Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Fernando H. Mendez has
ordered a manhunt for the killer. He said police are still investigating if the
motive is connected to the case the victim filed against Dominguez.
The victim filed a carnapping case against Dominguez after
her Toyota Fortuner was stolen on February 2010.
Raymond Dominguez and
his brother Roger are both in jail for the case on the killing of car dealers
Venson Evangelista and Emerson Lozano. The brothers were implicated by star
witness Alfredo Mendoza alias “Bading.”
City police chief Supt. David N. Poklay said they already have leads on the case but cannot just disclose it at the moment
pending on-going operations.
The killing of
Rojas transpired several hours after four suspected remnants of the Dominguez
Group were killed in a shootout with operatives of the Highway Patrol Group in
Meycauayan City early yesterday morning.
Police are still
hunting other members of the gang who may have escaped during the encounter.—EMIL

Ito po ay gawain ng isang duwag, ang pumatay ng walang kalaban laban, lalo na't sa isang babae. I'm sure that this murder is related to her filing a case against the cowards...the Dominguez brothers.
